Today marks the 15th day of Ramadan, the holiest month from the Islamic month. Muslims across the world unite and fast together for the sake of Allah The purpose is not solely gaining rewards and Heaven in return but also go satisfy our Maker, the most glorious.
I will keep this very short and to the point today. Less than an hour ago, we heard of news of a family member who passed away. He was extremely young and went through immense pain as he was in the emergency ward for over four days. What this reminds us is that death is certain and can come upon us at any day, time, and age. There is no limit to our wants and needs in this world and yet we fail to remember that none of it goes with us in our graves and the life after.
Muslims around the world are aware of our belief that a person who passes away during Ramadan is considered to be lucky. Why?! Consider the hadith below.
Prophet PBUH said: “O ye people the blessed month of Ramadan is approaching and Allah has ordained for you to fast in this month and in this month gates of heaven will be opened and the gates of the hell will be closed and the devils will be chained, in this month is a night of Qadr which is better than a thousand months and a person who is deprived of the blessings of this month is truly a deprived person”
When the gates of hell are closed during Ramadan, how can a person passing away have a possibility to enter hell rather than heaven? It is simple as stated unless Allah
So, the point is not to despair in the Mercy of Allah We must do our part by continuing to ask for forgiveness, increase good deeds, and never forget being thankful to Allah The rest is and never will be in our hands. Please pray for my family member to be allowed to enter the gates of Heaven by the will of Allah
May Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى guide us all towards the right path.
