As we get closer to completing 20 days of Ramadan, we need to ensure whether we have completed our duty in the second Ashra (segment) of earning Allah’s سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى forgiveness. There are a few posts written on this blog in reference to how we can earn our Maker’s forgiveness and mercy. Feel free to go through them as I hope to benefit every one of us.
Here’s a food for thought. When a child asks his/her parent for a toy, they know the parent will buy it for them, which is mainly the reason the child pleads for it. Similarly, if and only we have the expectation that Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى will grant us what we are asking for, then in return Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى will answer our plead. However, if we ask & yet do not believe in His ability to grant us the very thing we ask or better, how else then can we get what we want?
In relation to the above, if we expect Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى will forgive us, only then He will forgive us no matter how huge the sin or mistake is.
On a constant basis, keep making supplications and prayers to earn that forgiveness we long for. One example is below.
Let’s keep this short and precise and sleep on it.
