Day 4: Supplications Towards Earning Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى Mercy & Peace of Heart

Those who believe (in the Oneness of Allah – Islamic Monotheism), and whose hearts find rest in the remembrance of Allah, Verily, in the remembrance of Allah do hearts find rest. Chapter (13) sūrat l-raʿd (The Thunder)

Ladies & Gentlemen, no matter what belief of religion we belong to, for every human being, peace lies at connecting with God and our roots. Carrying on from yesterday, I wanted to bring our attention to the different supplications we can make in order to connect with our maker and enhance the peace we need at heart to be able to live life with contentment.

Alhumdulillah, as we are in our 4th day of Ramadan, we all must be praying hard to gain immense blessings and mercy of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. May He سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى accept all our valid wishes and allow us all to succeed in this world and the hereafter.

So, before we get in to outlining the list of supplications, what you gain from doing so is equally important. We humans are selfish at some point as we want everything for ourselves including the love and Mercy of Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى. What we fail to realize is that a true believer is one who wishes for others what they wish for themselves.

Abu Hurayrah (RA) narrated that the Prophet (PBUH) said:

“In order to be a Muslim, wish for your fellow Muslims that which you wish for yourself.” [Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Ahmad]

My point is that one of the benefits you gain from remembering Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى is the active consciousness of being considerate & merciful towards others. Other benefits include, but are not limited to, a compassionate heart, content & thankful heart, happy soul, a smile on the face, success & blessings in your work, special place in the hereafter, health, preventing whispers of Shaiytan, and stronger your roots become towards gaining Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى Qurb.

Following is a list for Allah سُبْحَانَهُ وَ تَعَالَى Dhikr:

  • SubhanAllah e Wa bihamdihi
  • Allah Hu Akbar
  • Alhumdulillah
  • SubhanAllah
  • La Illaha Illalahu Muhammad ur Rasul Allah
  • La illaha Illaallah
  • Ya Hayu Ya Qayum
  • Ya Hanan Ya Manan
  • Allah hussammad

Do NOT forget to make Tawbah through tasbeehat’s:

  • Wala hawla wala kuwataa illa billahil aleel adheem
  • Astaghfurallah Rabi min kulli zambiyon wa atubu illae
  • Subhanallahi wabihamdihi subhanallahil adheem wabihamdihi astaghfurallah

The above list seems like very minor but the weight of each of them is out of our imagination. Recite each at least 100 times a day on prayer beads. It is not always about the quantity, but the sincerity behind your efforts that counts as well. InshaAllah, this helps you all out. Never hesitate to ask questions and/or share concerns.

Jazak’Allah e Khairun

Much Love,
